Rear-axle steering and air suspension AIRMATIC.

Stress-free parking and manoeuvring: Thanks to optionally available rear-axle steering, you can manoeuvre the VLE as agilely as a limousine. It reduces the curb-to-curb turning circle to 10.9 meters. This gives the VLE a turning circle comparable with the new Mercedes-Benz CLA.

The new AIRMATIC with intelligent suspension control makes every journey a remarkably serene experience. This new optional air suspension is also more intelligent when it comes to ride-height control. For the first time, it uses Google Maps data to keep the vehicle as low as possible for as long as possible, reducing aerodynamic drag and thus energy consumption. With the AIRMATIC air suspension, the vehicle’s ride height can be raised and lowered by 40 millimeters for increased ground clearance or ease of entry.

Electric powertrain and range.

Ideal fit for every journey: With a convincing range of more than 700 kilometers (WLTP)^[2], the VLE perfectly handles long range journeys. If you want to align the length of your coffee breaks with the charging times, order an espresso instead of a cappuccino. Because the VLE can recharge up to 320 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes.^[3] With just 2 fifteen-minute charging stops, you can drive from Stuttgart to Rome. More than 300 kW standard fast-charging capability at 800-volt fast-charging stations, exemplary efficiency, and a powerful NMC battery technology with 115 kWh make it possible.

Re-defining space.

The sliding doors open electrically for you, and you step into a spacious, bright rear compartment. The impressive optional Sky View panoramic roof conveys an unprecedented sense of space and freedom as well as tranquillity. Surround ambient lighting showcases it in striking fashion. Simply relax and enjoy. An electric sunblind protects against excessive sunlight.

Seat Design Classic or Excellence – depending on the selected line – is the first choice you can make for the numerous configuration options for rear seating. Individual seats are available in 3 comfort levels: Comfort Seat (manual) as well as Premium Comfort Seat and Grand Comfort Seat (electric). In addition, you can choose between manually and electrically adjustable 3-seater comfort benches.

Individual seats and benches are available in various upholstery options: from fabric Quito via ARTICO man-made leather to ARTICO man-made leather / MICROCUT microfiber and Nappa leather. The color palette includes black, ivory beige, and beech brown.

Vehicle access with a special kick.

When you have your hands full, you don’t want to operate door handles. Therefore, you can open and close the two sliding doors and the EASY-PACK tailgate of the VLE via optionally available HANDS-FREE ACCESS – just with a kick. Another highlight in the VLE are the fully retractable windows in the sliding doors. Just as practical as the doors is the optional separately opening rear window, which makes loading and unloading particularly convenient.

Roll & Go

The new Roll & Go concept for manually adjustable seats offers a convenient way to move and remove seats quickly and easily in any position. When removed, the seats can easily be rolled into the garage

Remote Variable Rear Space

The “Remote Variable Rear Space” ^[1][4] redefines the intelligent use of space: Thanks to MB.OS, all electrically adjustable rear seats and bench can be moved via app and head unit.
