Emirates Motor Company (EMC) is the authorised general distributor for Mercedes-Benz in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, a role it has held since 1962. As the flagship company of Al Fahim Group, EMC markets, sells and services the full Mercedes-Benz passenger car range through a network of showrooms and service centres across the emirate, covering sedans, SUVs, Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach and the all-electric line-up.
Every part of that operation runs to Mercedes-Benz global standards, delivered by Mercedes-Benz trained technicians using GenuineParts.
EMC was established in 1962 by Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, nine years before the formation of the United Arab Emirates. It was the first Mercedes-Benz representation in the country and one of the earliest automotive businesses in Abu Dhabi.
More than six decades later, EMC remains the authorised Mercedes-Benz passenger car distributor for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, serving private customers alongside government entities, energy companies and the wider business community.
The relationship between Mercedes-Benz and EMC has developed in step with the emirate itself. What began as a single representation agreement in 1962 has become an integrated network of purpose-built showrooms, workshops, parts depots and customer facilities.
Key milestones include:
Mercedes-Benz is one of the world's most established automotive brands, tracing its origins to the pioneering engineering of Carl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler and the invention of the automobile itself.
The three-pointed star, introduced in the early 20th century, represents the brand's ambition to engineer mobility on land, sea and air. Since the formation of Daimler-Benz in 1926, the emblem has become one of the most recognised symbols in the world.
EMC operates the following Mercedes-Benz facilities:
Each site is supported by Mercedes-Benz trained technicians, brand-specified diagnostic equipment and consistent availability of GenuineParts.
EMC is the flagship company of Al Fahim Group, one of Abu Dhabi's longest-established family business groups, with interests spanning automotive, real estate, hospitality, industrial and travel.
This corporate foundation provides EMC with the governance, stability and scale required to represent Mercedes-Benz to global standards.
Customer service has been central to EMC since its earliest years. This is delivered today through Mercedes-Benz trained specialists, digital service booking, service packages, roadside assistance and GenuineParts.
Continued investment in facilities, people and systems supports consistent service delivery across the network.
EMC continues to align with the Mercedes-Benz global strategy, including Ambition 2039, by developing the local infrastructure that supports it: charging solutions, EV-qualified technicians and battery service capability across the network.
