The size of the pixels allows for a significantly higher resolution, pixel density and image quality. Using the touchscreen is as intuitive as using a smartphone.
            ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL and ENERGIZING coach ENERGIZING AIR CONTROL[1] monitors the air quality by means of a pollutant and fine particle sensor – and displays it on the MBUX. Your Mercedes switches intelligently between fresh air and air recirculation mode. An interior air filter with antibacterial effect also reduces a large portion of inhalable harmful substances. In addition, certain viruses are filtered to minimize risk.

              Mercedes-Benz DRIVE PILOT DRIVE PILOT[1] allows you to hand over the task of driving to the system under certain conditions, up to a speed of 60 km/h in heavy traffic and on suitable sections of motorway. After activating DRIVE PILOT, the system regulates speed and distance, for example, and guides the vehicle within the lane[2][3]. Mercedes-Benz is the first car manufacturer in the world with an internationally valid certification for highly automated driving to offer such a system as an ex factory option for series production vehicles.

              Parking Package with Remote Parking functions The Remote Parking app: the system automatically manoeuvres your Mercedes into a parking space and back out again so you don't have to squeeze through a tight spot to get in and out of your car. You monitor the parking process from outside the vehicle and control it with your smartphone.               AIRMATIC AIRMATIC combines the advantages of several suspension systems in one – choose between comfort and dynamic. The air suspension provides outstanding ride comfort even on difficult roads, or a powerfully sporty performance. The automatic level control adjusts the vehicle level depending on the load.
              E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL With the fully active E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL[1] suspension, you drive with confidence in every situation. With the first-class pitch, roll and shock compensating effects, you will experience comfort, precision and dynamics - on the motorway as well as on curvy or bad roads.

              Rear axle steering The rear-axle steering[1] with 4.5° steering angle adjustment offers three advantages: even better roadholding, significantly enhanced agility and, last but not least, better manoeuvrability such as when parking. - The rear-axle steering with 10° steering angle adjustment reduces the turning circle by almost two metres. This means that the S-Class handles almost like a compact car when manoeuvring. At higher speeds, on the other hand, you drive with the effortless superiority afforded by the long-wheelbase.

              PRE-SAFE® Impulse In a severe front impact PRE-SAFE® Impulse[1] is able to reduce the forces affecting the driver and front passenger. The system tightens the front belts in addition to the shoulder area at the buckle and end of the belt. This restrains the occupants in the seat at an early stage. Thanks to the belt comfort system, the belt also fits gently during everyday use.

              ATTENTION ASSIST The standard ATTENTION ASSIST fatigue detection system can detect typical signs of driver fatigue or growing inattentiveness on long, monotonous journeys, and issue a warning. In conjunction with the optionally available, 3D driver’s display or MBUX Augmented Reality Head-up Display, the latest generation of ATTENTION ASSIST goes another step further: an additional warning is given if the system detects typical signs of an acute microsleep with the help of the driver camera.
              Sidebags in rear The sidebags in rear[1] can protect the chest area of passengers on the outer rear seats in the event of a severe side impact. Together with the standard window airbags, they offer a high safety potential to prevent or mitigate injuries. The airbags are deployed here between the door and the occupant.

              Beltbag The belt airbags[1] ensure that passengers in the outer rear seats are particularly well protected in the event of a severe frontal collision. When triggered, the inflatable belt straps widen their contact area with the chest and shoulder to nearly triple the size. This allows the loads acting on the thorax of the occupants to be reduced.

              GUARD 360° vehicle protection Plus* GUARD 360° Vehicle Protection Plus*[1] offers all-round monitoring of the vehicle's surroundings. Thanks to the anti-theft alarm system, as well as emergency key deactivation, you are able to react quickly. On the road, the collision detection* function notifies you via app. And Stolen Vehicle Help* (After-theft help) increases the chance of recovering your property if your vehicle is ever stolen.[2]

                AMG forged wheels The exterior design is accentuated by AMG light-alloy wheels in a wide range of designs and paint finishes. Standard are 50.8 cm (20") AMG 10-spoke light-alloy wheels painted in tantalite grey with high-gloss finish.
