The EQA's athletic performance is down to its electric asynchronous motor at the front axle. Together with the cooling system, the performance electronics and the 1-speed transmission with fixed ratio including differential, this forms a highly integrated, compact unit – the electric drivetrain (eATS).

With its standard automatic climate control the EQA offers high climate comfort. It has ingenious thermal management with a heat pump. With numerous innovative details such as use of the waste heat from the electric drive, the system is configured for high efficiency and thus greatest possible range.
