F1® The Movie tells the story of Sonny Hayes, a promising Formula 1 driver in the 1990s, until an accident on the track ends his career. Three decades later, he returns to racing with APXGP, a fictional team driving vehicles modified for this production with Mercedes-AMG technology. Driving alongside the team’s skilled rookie, Sonny takes aim to become the best in the world.

Filmed on actual Formula 1 racetracks, like Silverstone Circuit at the British Grand Prix, the audience will get glimpses of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team drivers playing themselves. F1® The Movie​ delivers thrilling action sequences and remarkable footage that gives the audience a sense of being in the driver’s seat.

Buckle up for F1® The Movie​, a film set amid the exhilaration of Formula 1^® racing. Intense and exciting, F1® The Movie​ delivers authentic action with stars Brad Pitt and Damson Idris racing for APXGP, a fictional Formula 1^® team, alongside real Formula 1^® drivers. Mercedes-AMG supported the film with engineering expertise and supplied performance vehicles and sports cars from the current portfolio.

Motorsport DNA in Every Detail

This coupe presents extraordinary design elements that closely mirror the film’s fictional APXGP Formula 1^® team vehicles. Each of the 52 vehicles’ paintwork was meticulously applied by hand with APXGP-specific designs. Eye-catching Race Gold accents adorn this stunning machine throughout — from the AMG-specific radiator grille to the rear diffuser blade and AMG Forged Cross-Spoke wheels. The checkered flag pattern on the front fenders drives home its connection to motorsport.

Inside the GT 63 APXGP: Crafted to Perform

Its interior offers AMG Performance seats and steering wheel with contrasting Race Gold stitching — an illuminated look that extends to the door panels, instrument panel and center armrest. The AMG floor mats also get the Race Gold treatment with “APXGP” embroidered into a leather insert. Exclusivity stands front and center with a “Limited Edition 1 of 52” badge in the center console.

A sports car first and foremost, this coupe is also practical for everyday driving with its 2+2 seating configuration and ample cargo space. A front axle lift system can raise this GT to clear speed bumps and steep driveways.
